The purpose of the Regulatory Mock Trial Training is to provide attendees with an insight of the factors which can lead to regulatory enforcement action and to demonstrate how such proceedings differ from the more common civil compensation claims process in important key areas.
The training will also include a briefing designed to provide delegates with detailed knowledge of corporate and personal liability in relation to health and safety governance. The sessions will cover the legal duties businesses and individuals must comply with and analyse the impact of the current health and safety sentencing guidelines if a breach of those duties arises.
The Mock Trial Training is aimed not only at those with responsibility for investigating accidents, but also those who are actively involved in the creation, implementation and funding authorisation of the company's overall health and safety strategy.
The session is designed to be interactive as all attendees will be given a trial bundle at the start of the case. After each segment of the trial, the trainer will provide an explanation of the video content and encourage discussion and consideration of the issues raised. At the end of the trial, the attendees will be asked to vote on whether the company is guilty or not guilty of the offence.
This course is suitable for directors, senior leaders and managers or colleagues who focus on health and safety, insurance and claims or have the responsibilities of creating or implementing health and safety management strategy and carrying out accident investigations.
