A well-run course, giving a vast amount of very useful information to help us assist with mental health and wellbeing
The Adult Mental Health First Aid Champion course is used to train up Mental Health First Aid Champions. This course is ideal for workplace settings, covering aspects of mental health and stress in the workplace.
Champions will be trained in Mental Health First Aid England’s one day course through an instructor led session which will give them an understanding of common mental health issues, the skills and awareness to spot signs of mental ill health and support positive wellbeing.
An understanding of common mental health issues
Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness.
Ability to spot signs of mental ill health.
Skills to support positive wellbeing.
Everyone who completes the course gets:
A certificate of attendance to say they are an MHFA Champion.
A manual to refer to whenever they need it.
A quick reference card for the Mental Health First Aid action plan.
A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support their own mental health.
Increases mental health literacy and empowers champions to identify distress and provide initial help and signposting to those experiencing poor mental health and mental illness.
Anyone can attend an MHFA Champion course.
