This course is formed of four modules:
Building an ERM framework – Focusing on building the essential components of an effective, practical and focused ERM framework.
Designing successful risk registers – Design and build a risk register that will support the capture of risk information, the automation of decisions about escalation, delegation and response and the reporting of risks through a dashboard.
Identifying and analysing risks – Covering techniques for identifying risks and best practice in terms of structuring risk descriptions, this module will allow us to populate our risk register with risk data and score this according to the ERM framework we have designed.
Responding to risks and opportunities effectively – This module will cover how to select an effective response to the risks that have been identified, leveraging opportunities that may arise from the risks and how to document and monitor the delivery of the actions required to put the risk response in place.
Establishing the core components of an ERM framework.
Building an entity-specific risk assessment matrix.
Design and build of an effective and practical risk register.
Best practice for the capture of risk information and approaches to identifying risks.
Putting the ERM framework into practice through the analysis of identified risks and the capture of this within the risk register.
Realising the value of ERM through the design and monitoring of effective risk responses to both threats and opportunities.
Have an improved understanding of what an ERM framework is and what it should include.
Be better equipped to build and operate an approach to ERM that is genuinely valuable for your organisation.
Understand how to balance the conflicting priorities of detail and simplicity within your ERM framework and approach.
Gain experience of the practical implementation of ERM to an organisation via a simulated experience with a fictional company.
Helps organisations anticipate potential risks and be better equipped to operate in the event of a disruption.
This training is aimed at organisations who are interested in developing a new ERM approach or enhancing an existing approach. Individuals with a specific responsibility for risk (framework, processes, reporting etc.) will gain most from this course however it is also useful for a wider audience including risk owners and risk champions.
